Welcome to the Clubhouse information page. Board members have been busy raising funds for the project and we are pleased to advise that we are in the final stages of being able to bring this project to the building stage. Only a few more items to tick off the list. Previous Boards and the current Board members have worked hard to make sure we will have a new place to call home for not only the club members, but for community members also. All we need now are the funds...
The club members currently meet on Sunday afternoons following fishing competitions. This means we are very exposed to the changing weather conditions that can be Western Port Bay. The clubhouse will enable members to meet regularly to discuss fishing and community evolvement The club would also love for small community groups to be able to use the clubhouse for small daytime social gatherings, such as mums groups or other similar community groups and our vision is that we would be able to offer the venue free of charge.
The Foreshore Committee has been wonderful in providing their assistance and support for the project as has Bass Coast Shire Council.
Given we are a small fishing town with Western Port Bay at our feet, with access to the newly opened boating facilities, it would be wonderful to finally have a home for the Club.
We still need to raise funds so the project can take place. We have had a number of fundraising events to date, and had several planned for the remainder of the season, however COVID-19 has meant we have had to come up with some new ideas. Accordingly, we are currently asking members of the club and wider community to please support our raffle and/or make a donations towards the project. As indicated on our community funds collection board we have raised $51,000.00 to date.
We have included endorsed plans below for your information. Please note that these images are subject to Copyright 2018 Andrew Donohue Building Design.
