15/10/2019 1 Comment Wayne Wright had a good morning...How is it some days all the fish get caught on one side of the boat. Club member Wayne Wright had a good morning landing these nice fish out from Corinella with squid for bait. Wayne is also showing the correct method for catch and release weigh ins. Don't forget we need pictures of your catch sent to committee members or facebook within 48 hours of the catch for the fish to count...

12/1/2019 0 Comments Fish'n'chips instead of Nav RallyThe first event of 2019 was the Nav Rally to Ran Remo, but due to low ember registration and the amount of work needed to rub the rally, the committee decided to cancel the event. Instead they continued wit the social part of the day, with Fish and Chips at the Rotunda.
Scheduled for late afternoon, a feast of hot crispy chips and battered flake was cooked up by our resident 'chippy' expert Wayne Donovan, with help from President Allan Willouhby. Club member Murray Wannan kindly donated some gorgeous crumbed whiting pieces and clamri to add to the fare, and all were cooked to perfection in the deep fryers. A range of salads and buttered breadstick were also on hand, and the meal was followed by ice-cream for dessert. Commencing on the charge format nav rally to a purely social event, Club President Allan Willoughby said that he was committed to holding a variety of events for members to ensure they get value for money from their membership of the club. "If there's not a lot of interest in one type of event, we'll look for other formats". A great turnout given the short notice and the weather was excellent. |
